About Dr. William Wertman

Dr. William Wertman is a native of Pennsylvania. Originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, he graduated from Weatherly High School and obtained his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. His graduate degree in Chiropractic is from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. He has lived and practiced in the Mechanicsburg area for several years.
Dr. Wertman is board certified in both Chiropractic Neurology and Neurodiagnosis. A double board certification in these specialties is unique. Dr. Wertman has over 1000 hours in post graduate education. He has performed thousands of nerve test studies including needle EMG and Nerve Condition Studies. He currently is on staff as a Chiropractic Neurologist at several Orthopedic Surgery Centers and Pain Clinics preforming electrodiagnostic testing.
His board certification or diplomate in neurology is from The Academy of Chiropractic Neurology and his board certification or fellowship in neurodiagnosis is from the International Board of Electrodiagnosis. He also has post graduate certifications from the prestigious Mayo Clinic, University of Nevada Medical School, Gulf Coast Ultrasound and The Neurodiagnostic Institute.
His practice is also unique with the addition of high frequency ultrasound. This is an adjunct to the typical nerve test. Combining ultrasound with EMG nerve testing is a cutting edge technology. The number of specialists and clinics that offer this new technology is extremely limited.
Dr. Wertman is proud to be part of Central Pennsylvania’s Health Care system.
On a personal note, Dr. Wertman loves to spend quality time with his wife Karen, playing with their three dogs, exercising, hiking, martial arts, movies and travel.
